Sepsis is a more common reason for hospital admission than heart attack and has a higher mortality. A well-defined group of patients at risk of sepsis is cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Isansys is developing an early (remote) warning system to provide notifications to clinical teams of sepsis early in the 72-hour period during which the condition becomes critical. |
