Recourse AI LTD

Project Design and development of a Virtual Standardised Patient training platform to reduce pressures on emergency departments.
Description

Recourse AI are pioneering a “flight simulator” for healthcare professionals, transforming clinical training through voice-driven simulated consultations with AI-powered Digital Human Patients, providing instant feedback on decision making, clinical and diagnostic reasoning, at any time, from anywhere.

Recourse AI are on a mission to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care by transforming clinical training. Their platform supports clinicians
by allowing them to engage in voice-driven simulated consultations with AI-powered Digital Human Patients, creating a safe space to hone decision making and clinical reasoning. By providing instant, AI-driven feedback on these virtual scenarios, Recourse Medical’s approach will improve the confidence and skills of the healthcare workforce, enabling safe and efficient decisions to discharge, as well as improved triage and assessment, for example in children in the community, ultimately reducing demand for ED services and length of stay in the ED.

Stream Bio Ltd

Project Quantitative point-of-care (10 min) diagnostic test for cardiac troponin I and troponin T for high priority use cases.
Description

Stream is redefining the sensitivity of lateral flow assays by replacing the traditional labels normally used, with ultra-bright (sensitive), fluorescent Conjugated Polymer Nanoparticles (CPNs), and by adopting a different approach in the development of a point-of-care reader.

Stream is redefining lateral flow assays by significantly enhancing the key technologies involved.  By replacing the traditional labels normally used in lateral flow (ie gold nanoparticles or europium chelates) with intensely fluorescent and sensitive fluorescent Conjugated Polymer Nanoparticles (CPNs), and by adopting a different approach in the development of a reader, Stream aims to deliver lab sensitivity in a point-of-care test for troponin.  CPNs are functionalised nanoparticles with extremely high extinction coefficients and are therefore incredibly sensitive in low level detection.  To further enhance capability, rather than using fluorescent intensity to quantify detection as other readers do, Streams reader is based on a handheld fluorometer that captures images of the particles and then quantification is determined by an algorithm.
