Greener Practice is a community interest company and the UK’s primary care sustainability network. Our mission is to enable primary care to take action towards environmentally sustainable healthcare. The aim of our project is to engage and equip busy health professionals in General Practice to implement carbon reductions in clinical activity through “off-the-shelf” quality improvement (QI) projects. The clinical resources will be developed by health professionals working in primary care who are aware of constraints and opportunities. A user-friendly, visual platform will support easy access to step-by-step resources that enable primary care to implement net zero clinical quality improvement activity. |

A foundation module designed from our end user engagement and feedback, will optimise interest and uptake. We will collaborate with NHS organisation such as NHS England, RCGP, SEE Sustainability to ensure correct tools, advice and academic research for use in the product. Its purpose is to harness the mass of validated information and interventions, filter, and apply sector specific ‘how to’ hand holding steps to remove the blockers which prevent uptake and adoption. It can also act as a dashboard for commissioning authorities to be able to view a sustainability maturity map of their providers in one place. |

Medical Data Solutions and Services (MDSAS)
Project | MARS – Monitoring Arm Recovery after Stroke |

Description |
The aim is to improve patient recovery and to provide support to health care professionals in achieving this through adapting MDSAS's proven patient support app for stroke care. It will collect data entered by patients with upper-limb weakness, such as pain levels, degrees of weakness and other stroke-related symptoms. Health care professionals can view the patient entered data in real-time, supporting remote patient management, prioritised early intervention and clinician-patient communication in community and acute settings. Long-term data will build a crucial evidence base for outcome evaluation. |
